Describe yourself?

I’m a freelance conference interpreter and translator between the languages (Arabic & English). I’m a native Arabic speaker; since I was born and raised in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Although I lived in 3 continents during the past 15 years, I’ve been based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia since October 2014 working as a professional conference interpreter and translator. So far, I serviced over 90 events as an Arabic interpreter, and I translated documents and projects for several international organizations. I worked in many African countries and for several organizations including the African Union, Africa CDC, AU-IBAR, COMESA, ILO, UNAMID, US-AFRICOM and more.

I hold a BA in English Language and Literature, a BA Hons in Translation Studies and I’m currently pursuing a MA in Linguistics (i.e. Translation Studies) at the University of South Africa (UNISA).

In my free, I enjoy traveling, reading, learning, photography and walking. I have a keen interest in personal development and I believe in the Japanese philosophy of “kaizen” (i.e. continuous development and improvement).

Should you need any advice and/or service as to Arabic language consultancy, please feel free to contact me via email or phone.
