Practice test

The SATI practice test

Owing to the high failure rate among accreditation candidates, a practice test was introduced to give prospective accreditation candidates an indication of whether they were likely to pass an accreditation exam.

 ;

Passing a practice test does not guarantee the candidate a pass in the full exam, but it allows them to evaluate their chances of success.

 ;

Texts from previous exams are used for the practice test. For this reason, practice tests are not available in all languages.

 ;

Practice tests can currently be undertaken for certain languages in:

  • translation
  • sworn translation
  • language editing

 ;

In a practice test, a candidate completes a single text, which is marked by single examiner and is then returned to the candidate together with some comments. This enables the candidate to see which areas are satisfactory and which require further work in preparation for accreditation.

 ;

You can download the pamphlet below for more detailed information on the SATI practice test. Information on the marking system and preparation for exams is available under the sections dealing with accreditation in the various disciplines.
